Symptoms of Bleeding Eye Virus
In Marburg virus or bleeding eye virus, symptoms may appear for 2 to 20 days, which include severe burning and itching sensation in the eyes, redness in the white part of the eyes or formation of blood clot. Blurred vision, headache, dizziness, nausea or vomiting and mild fever are also included.
Ways to avoid bleeding eye virus
To avoid bleeding eye virus, it is important to clean hands frequently with soap and water. One should avoid touching the eyes with dirty hands; clean towels and handkerchiefs should be used to wipe the eyes and face. One should maintain distance from the infected person and use only eye drops or antibiotics recommended by the doctor. If you wear contact lenses or glasses, it is also important to clean them.
