Siyaram Baba Passes Away: The famous saint Siyaram Baba of Nimant breathed his last today on Wednesday, 11 December 2024. He sacrificed his life at 06.10 am on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi and Geeta Jayanti in the ashram located at Bhattayan Bazurg.

It is being told that Saint Siyaram Baba was ill for the last few days. He had pneumonia. After undergoing treatment at the hospital, he had decided to come to the ashram, where he was being treated by doctors. But the news of his death came to light this morning during treatment. According to reports, his last rites will be performed this evening.

Mokshada Ekadashi brings salvation

Today, on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, Saint Siyaram Baba sacrificed his life, after which it is being said that Siyaram Baba has got a place at the feet of the Lord. According to Hindu religion, Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha is said to be the Ekadashi that bestows salvation. Also, due to the effect of this Ekadashi, a person gets freedom from the cycle of birth and death. It was due to the influence of this Ekadashi that King Vaikhanas saved his father from the tortures of hell.

Important things related to Siyaram Baba

  • Devotees also considered Siyaram Baba as miraculous. They wear only one loincloth in every season. It is said that he performed penance by standing for 10 years.
  • Siyaram Baba had meditated silently for 12 years and when he broke his silence, his first word was ‘Siyaram’, after which devotees started calling him by this name.
  • It is said about Siyaram Baba that he used to recite Ramayan continuously for 21 hours and used to read the Chaupaiyas of Ramayan with full energy.
  • Whenever Baba’s devotees and devotees came to meet him, they wanted to donate. But Baba used to take only 10 rupees as donation from his devotees and he used to donate this amount also for works like temple etc.
