Who are at risk from woolen clothes?
People whose skin is sensitive face the most problems with woolen clothes in cold weather. They experience frequent itching and red rashes or rashes form on the skin. This happens when the fibers of woolen clothes rub against the skin. Due to this, inflammation also starts in the skin.
What is textile dermatitis?
According to health experts, our skin has two layers, epidermis and dermal. The upper layer is epidermis. There is a dermis layer between the epidermis and hypodermis. The dermis works to protect the skin. Its structure is fiber-like, in which collagen, elastic tissues, hair follicles, glands are present.
Collagen is a type of protein, which forms the structure of the skin. Blood capillaries are present in the dermal layer itself, which has an epidermal layer to protect it and when the dermal layer gets inflamed, it is called dermatitis. If rashes occur while wearing woolen clothes, then it clearly means that the dermis layer has been damaged, which can also increase many other problems.
